Meaning & Intention
The Tree of Life is one of the oldest shared symbols across cultures, representing the idea that all living things spring from a common root even as they branch in different directions.
Here that idea is rendered stitch by stitch: a single trunk rising into a canopy of birds, blossoms, and a watchful monkey, each creature distinct yet part of one continuous whole.
Two elephants ground the base. In many Eastern traditions, elephants are associated with memory, wisdom, and steady strength, standing as guardians beneath the tree’s more delicate branches.
The embroidered border speaks of dreams growing wild and free, making the piece a meditation on how rootedness and freedom can coexist.
