Square glass vessel finished in warm gold, etched on all four sides with a lotus mandala and the words ‘No Mud, No Lotus.’ The phrase points to the lotus teaching that growth rises from difficulty, not around it. Set it on a nightstand, desk, or altar with a tealight inside or a single stem in water.

Meaning & Intention
The lotus is among the most enduring symbols in Eastern spiritual traditions, prized for where it grows — rooted in pond mud, yet opening above the water untouched by it.
‘No Mud, No Lotus’ points to the same teaching: the bloom is not separate from the muck, but made possible by it. The fuller etched line reframes hardship as raw material rather than obstacle.
Rendered in gold, a color long associated with illumination and worth, the piece turns the teaching into something to live with rather than read once.
Lit from within by a tealight or holding a single stem, it becomes a small checkpoint on the way from mud to light.

Questions & Guidance
Can it hold water and fresh flowers?
Yes. The glass holds water for cut stems, and it also works dry with a tealight or faux botanicals inside.
Is it safe to use with a lit candle inside?
Yes. The glass suits a tealight or small votive, and the gold finish glows softly as the etched lotus catches the flame.
Does the etching wrap all the way around?
Yes. The lotus mandala and full quote are etched across all four sides, so the message stays visible from every angle.
